Sometimes I think that I prefer performing my own songs because I am more than a little bit intimidated by the idea of trying to do a "cover." Does the world really need any other version of "Imagine" than John Lennon's? And what arrogance must I possess to dare to do a version of Eddie Cochrane's "Twenty Flight Rock?"

But I have learned over time that a good show must have a blend of songs that the audience knows and enjoys, so I have begun to build out my repertoire of covers.
